Sainte-Maxime is a commune in the Var department in the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The station borders the north shore of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Protected from the mistral by the wooded hills of the Maures massif, it opens to the south. The south of the town, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, is at an altitude close to zero. Several valleys, coastal rivers crossing the communal territory to the sea, in the north-south direction, are surrounded by the hills of the Maures massif. The highest point of Sainte-Maxime, the Peigros, near the Gratteloup pass, has an altitude of 526 meters. Several coastal rivers cross the commune of Sainte Maxime: the Preconil, throwing itself into the Mediterranean Sea near the port, as well as its affluent, the "Vallon de Bouillonnet"; the Garonnette, throwing itself into the Mediterranean Sea at the edge of the commune, to the east, near the Issambres; the "Vallon du Puèro".

The villa is nice and has a great view. We liked that is was possible to enjoy a meal in two places (in front of the pool and at the top terrasse). We stayed 4 adults and 3 kids at the age og 8, 10 and 10. The kids stayed in one room with a double bed and a bunk bed. The bunk bed was not good to sleep on (only for small kids).
The living room is very nice. New kitchen. The bathrooms are also nice. The villa has toys for the pool - very cool.
We liked that it is a gates community.
Is does not get 5 stars because the dishes in the kitchen were not clean at all. It was glasses, plates and other dishes. We wrote to the owner on day two to let him know. Since cleaning is a part of the rent, the dishes should have been clean.
