This cabin is an absolutely awesome getaway tucked perfectly into the peaceful West Virginia woods. It’s clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The setting is stunning — quiet mornings, star-filled nights, and nature all around. Whether you’re unwinding on the porch or enjoying the fire pit, it’s the perfect place to reset and recharge. Truly a gem.

From the moment we arrived the cabin was warm, welcoming, and made you feel at home. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Space to relax and enjoy both indoors and outside. Didn’t get to hike as much as we hoped due to rainy weather but still managed to get out and explore nearby attractions. Host was easy to work with and ensured our visit was a good experience. Cabin was clean, comfy, and would stay there again.

The Rusty Lantern is a spacious cabin with all the amenities and a wonderful view of the mountains of West Virginia. Everything is spotless and nothing has been overlooked. The appliances look brand new and the furnishings and decorative touches tell a story as well as being lovely to regard. The hosts are super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.
