OLD TIMBERLINE -
A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area.
You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards.

Check in was quick and easy. Everything was ready when we got there. The upstairs toilet sounds like it is going to take off but it worked. We loved sitting on the deck and seen a few deerbut no bear. May need deck re placed soon as well as picnic table. Grandsons wanted things to do beside TV but enjoyed playing cards in the evening. None of the items I mentioned kept us from having a great time. Would stay there again

The deck and hot tub were lovely. Now that the summers are hotter, not having AC is a bit of an issue in early evening, but not a deal breaker.

Our first rental with Vrbo. On the negative side… The pictures were professional and make the property look better than reality. The deck and steps are worn, warped and in need of paint. The picnic table has holes and is growing moss. The steps up to the main level are narrow and the hand railing doesn’t go all the way up making it more challenging for seniors. The BBQ grill grill is badly rusted. There were only two partial rolls of TP for our eleven people, and we couldn’t find any laundry soap to do the “required” first batch of towels when we checked out. The driveway is challenging, sharp turn in and steep. On the Positive side! The kitchen appliances worked well, plenty of hot water, the beds were adequate, The TV worked well and easily hooked up to IPads wirelessly, and the wi-Fi worked well. There were plenty of towels, the Hot-tub was enjoyable and clean and all the windows and fans worked well. Overall, my family had an enjoyable time.

Could use some updates. Surface clean but not deep clean. Kitchen sink too small. Commodes run a lot and have cheap, flimsy seats, one of which was broken. Hot tub was not clean and had a piece of broken glass in bottom. Could update furniture to newer and more comfortable. Foosball table had missing men which was too bad because we love to play. Kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the large deck.
