Nestled in the enchanting Historic Upper Canyon of Ruidoso, this beautifully updated cabin blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Surrounded by towering pines, the property frequently welcomes local wildlife-one of the many perks of its prime Upper Canyon location. Recently renovated, the kitchen and bathrooms now offer a seamless mix of classic warmth and contemporary style, while the living area features a stunning hand-built brick, wood-burning fireplace that creates the perfect setting for cozy mountain evenings. The fully updated kitchen is both functional and inviting, equipped with newer appliances and a thoughtful layout ideal for everything from morning coffee to full family meals.
For relaxation, the cabin offers a generous soaker tub, perfect after a day of skiing, golfing, or hiking, along with a private hot tub on the spacious back deck where guests can unwind under the pines. The front deck provides a peaceful retreat to enjoy the quiet beauty of the canyon with a cup of coffee in hand. Entertainment and connectivity are well covered with three Roku TVs and free high-speed WiFi throughout the cabin, ensuring comfort whether you're looking to disconnect or stay connected.
This long-standing guest favorite has been part of the Upper Canyon Lodging Co. family for nearly 20 years and continues to deliver a memorable stay. The cabin features two bedrooms plus a den, comfortably sleeping up to seven guests, with a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and a futon in the den best suited for one person. Guests will receive a rental agreement via SMS text or WhatsApp for international numbers, or by email if no valid phone number is provided, and arrival instructions will be sent the same way on the day of arrival once the reservation is paid in full and the agreement is completed. This cabin is pet-friendly for a fee-please let us know if you will be bringing pets.
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your reservation please review the following policy. An administration fee of $35 will be charged to all cancellations 14 days or more in advance, unless a reschedule has been agreed upon. Reservations cancelled less than 14 days prior to check-in will be charged a 1 night fee including taxes and are subject to all other nights the Cabin or Room is not re-rented. If you do not show up for your reservation you will be charged in full. Sorry, no refund for early departure. We strongly recommend that you consider purchasing Trip Insurance to protect your investment. Full details can be found on our website.Please note Cancellation policies for Christmas and New Years (Inclusive Dec 20-Jan 5) differ significantly, they will be clearly explained in your rental agreement. UCLC's signed rental agreement will take precedence over any 3rd party booking site policy.

We had an excellent stay! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The property was everything we expected and more. Being our first trip out there, we had high expectations and were definitely not disappointed! Thank you Upper Canyon Lodging for such an amazing and memorable experience. We will definitely be going back!

The property owner did a great job redecorating the cabin, putting in nice appliances, furniture, etc. However, whoever takes care of the property and cleans it did a terrible job, which greatly detracted from our experience. The hot tub was dirty, the oven was so greasy, we had to clean it before using it, the front porch area had not been touched in months, the television in one of the rooms was not functioning, and, the reclining club chair was completely broken and had been propped up against a wall. In addition, some extremely strong cleaner was used on the wood table in the kitchen and reeked the whole time we were there (it had soaked into the wood)…We couldn’t put anything on it, let alone eat on it. The property owners responded quickly to our communication, but, it would’ve taken way too long for their “team” to take care of all these issues, and I highly doubt the chair and table could’ve been resolved during our stay. If anyone is interested in renting one of their properties, I would recommend confirming the condition of it prior to arriving.
