Horseshoe Cottage

Despite only staying 2nights we fell in love with the cottage. Would definitely book again. It was very homely, comfortable in beautiful country side.

Great location. The cottage had most things we needed.

The cottage was incredibly cold and damp when we arrived. The storage heaters did not kick in until the middle of the night and then were cool again by late afternoon. There were blower heaters but they were noisy and in a building like that you need the heat on for a few days to really warm the place up. It would have been really nice if someone had turned the heaters on before we arrived so that the cottage was warm when we got there. There was enough wood for one fire. It would also have been great to have some hooks inside to hang up wet gear. There were some in the porch but this was outside so nothing dried. The shower was a challenge! The whole cottage seemed a bit neglected and tired. I sent a message about a later checkout which we were told was not possible but no one had come to the cottage to clean or check in before we left at 2pm (we were out of the house by 10 but still in the village).
