Location was perfect, ideally situated in the heart of the dales and a pub next door for food and drinks.

I wanted to raise a few concerns regarding our stay at the property. The location is perfect, and we really like the property itself, but unfortunately there were several issues that affected our overall experience. Firstly, the property did not appear to have been cleaned properly. It seemed that the pillow covers on the bottom pillow of the bed had not been changed. We were also not provided with any extra bin liners, so we had to take our rubbish outside and dispose of it in the recycling bin ourselves. There was also no shower gel provided in the bathrooms. As there is no shop nearby, it was particularly inconvenient to purchase basic items that we would reasonably expect to be provided by the host. On one of the days, there was heavy rain and water started leaking through the ceiling into the living room. I have video evidence of this and can provide it if required. We also experienced some issues regarding parking and the surrounding neighbours. As soon as we parked our car on the driveway in front of the garage, a man from the opposite house approached us and told us that if we did not want our car damaged, we should park next to the entrance door, as they might need access if a large vehicle needed to turn into the alleyway. As we had two vehicles with us, we had to park both cars in an awkward position to avoid causing any inconvenience or upsetting the neighbours. On another day, someone was banging on our door because we were playing music. The music was not loud or unreasonable, so this was quite uncomfortable and unexpected, particularly while we were trying to enjoy our holiday. We appreciate that some of these may seem like small issues individually, but together they made our stay less comfortable than we expected. When you are on holiday, basic provisions such as bin liners and shower gel are important, especially when there is no nearby shop where these items can easily be purchased.
