This property is really big and in a brilliant village. It is as described and suitable for a large group with children to relax and have a lovely time. There is a lovely back garden and ample kitchen.
The check-out time though advertised is very early - especially when considering how late check in is. Be wary of this!

The location in Kettlewell is great! Three decent pubs for eating and drinking and walks from, or close to Kettlewell. Fern House is spacious, very well equipped and has a nice outdoor area to relax in!

The property was well equipped and comfortable!
On the first night the fire was set with kindling but no logs so we were cold. It says that there were complimentary pack of logs that wasn’t available. We found some the next day in the log store outside, hence we didn’t leave a pack when we left. There didn’t seem to be a key for the front door so had to use the back all the time.

The property itself is lovely, so much so that this was our second time of booking, and we were considering booking again .. the downside is it is managed by Sykes cottages who’s service and communication has been appalling.
The service I have received from Sykes Cottages has tarnished the the experience so much so that I do not wish to book through them again but at the moment that seems the only option with this property. Leading up to the stay non of my messages were responded to, I had to ring on the day of departure to confirm check in times due to conflicting information and then when we arrived the request to have the beds as twins not doubles had not been actioned. Despite speaking to Sykes on my arrival on the 24th January I haven’t heard from them again since. I have tried to call but was instructed I must send an email again to which I am still waiting on an acknowledgment, it is now over a week since my stay. Very disappointed at the incredibly poor customer service. I was reluctant to leave a ‘negative’ review but have no means of contacting the property and I feel they have the right to know .
