Old Forest Resort Suite Heated Pool Hot Tub Sauna Beach Vancouver Island

Very tasteful, clean and comfortable room. We loved the fire pit on the shore. What a great place to relax.

Too many babies and kids playing in the hot tub also after 9 p.m. Adults and older teenagers can never enjoy a quiet minute in the hot tub, not even in the evening. Besides, babies who usually need diapers shouldn’t be permitted in the hot tub. It’s just not very hygienic (what they do and leave in the water…).

Beautiful resort. Awesome amenities.

Beautiful location, love the keurig, nice shower and the room was unique and clean.

The confusing part is that it’s called “Old Forest Resort” in the listing but that’s not the name of the resort. This is a suite at Pacific Shores resort, and we weren’t too impressed with the resort. Seems kind of frozen in time, and the staff is nowhere to be found. It’s a confusing mix of residential properties, private rentals, and resort units. There’s only one barbecue for the entire resort (hardly heats up) and there are children everywhere. We were expecting the “Old Forest Resort” and got Pacific Shores family park. There’s also sooo many signs telling you not to do things everywhere which feels less like a resort and more like a summer camp. The gym equipment was ancient and none of the cardio machines even turned on. I wouldn’t recommend for a couple, but if you’re travelling with children it would be good

no breakfast included but you could make your own in your suite if you wished but limited. Only microwave

The room didn’t have much of a view. On the noisy side, not much soundproofing.
