TCG Central Apartment

It was very easy to find the apartment following detailed instructions. There is a big bedroom with a very cozy bed. A very good location with direct access to bus and metro lines. The center is a 10 minutes ride. A lot of places to eat around, plus big supermarkets.

I liked it for sure, and I was comfortable with it.

Alarm making noise sometimes at night, unexpected

- Great location, near subway M1 and a few bus lines. Near the main street but still tucked away and pretty quiet at night. Lidl and Sklavenitis 10 mins. walking distance. - Apartment is big and light, bed is comfy, and they have a smart tv in the living space so you can stream movies if you feel like it. Internet connection is very good. - They had free-to-use shower gel in the bathroom - host replies very fast to Booking messages - 2 AC units with good power so you will be able to cool yourself down even during very hot days - a new mini oven which works well, nice cutlery, okay fridge - shower works well and has good pressure

My biggest objection is that apartment is in a very old building (probably more than 100 y.o.) and the air inside is heavy and smells like old wood. I'm not saying it's smelly - it's not - it's just kind of heavy air inside and I don't think it will bother the average person but if you have respiratory issues, then you night want to avoid it or your breathing might worsen in these conditions. Apartment has windows facing two sides: 2 windows facing the street and two windows facing some strange space in the middle of the building. From my experience, natural ventilation is not working well because this small space in the middle of the building doesn't seem to get fresh air and quite often there is weird smell coming from here. And your bathroom and kitchen are facing this side. So there is really no way for getting air in the apartment so we need to keep AC on most of the time in order to get this feeling of fresh air. But it's actually not fresh. I think that the shower curtain is quite bad because it is one of those thin ones and when you start taking a shower, and use some hot water and keep the window open, air pressure pushes the curtain on you and it sticks to your legs, which was kind of disgusting to me. I think a thicker shower curtain would do wonders. Electrical installation in the apartment seem quite old. When we had just arrived, we turned off both ACs and we tried boiling some water in a kettle but then electric security switches popped and we were left in dark and then I had to turn on the switches back again. So be careful not to overload the system. The host was very professional but a bit too sensitive imo. I said that I wanted to leave accommodation and get my money back on the first night that I arrived and they got really upset because of this and didn't communicate with me at all until the last day of my stay where they informed me what's the latest checkout time and said they hoped I had a nice stay.
