Civico 55 - Free parking & Garden

The private parking was available, which is important because it is on a narrow street with very few parking spaces available. Parking is difficult around Lake Como. The apartment had a designated spot immediately off the road for client parking. The private garden overlooking the lake is a nice feature. Spectacular views. However, there were ants everywhere in the garden. They did not seem to bite, but they were distracting. There is a very cute courtyard at the entrance with a fountain and a large wooden table that is shaded. Nice touch. Large living room. Easy and scenic walk to some really good restaurants along the waterfront. Very responsive host who made excellent restaurant recommendations and answered questions quickly.

There was a lot of traffic on the small road going past the apartment, so there was road noise, including loud motorcycles, which are unfortunately ubiquitous in Italy. The bed was uncomfortably stiff. We had a temporary problem in that the apartment had not get been cleaned when we arrived in the evening. We made the reservation only 30 minutes earlier, and apparently the cleaning service hadn’t bothered to come that day. But the manager of the apartment, accessible on WhatsApp and through booking.com messaging, was very responsive and had the cleaning crew sent up immediately. We went to dinner and the apartment was ready for us on our return.

La casa è davvero bellissima , il corridoio con gli specchi , le porte il giardino e la vista tutto bellissimo

Purtroppo arrivati in casa ci siamo accorti che non c’era la carta igienica , il wc non era pulito e nemmeno il bidet , le lenzuola erano sporche , palesemente utilizzate dalla persona precedente … in quanto una federa era sporca di rossetto … abbiamo dovuto pulire a grandi linee noi prima di poter utilizzare il bagno e la cucina . Inoltre non c’erano prodotti per la pulizia! Quindi ci siamo arrangiati utilizzando il sapone dei piatti . Preciso che era capodanno e di conseguenza tutti i negozi erano chiusi .
