Domus 44 Apartment

VALUE FOR MONEY We really think that we got a really great deal with this apartment. It's kind of new, spacious and well-organized. It feels really like a home. A great plus is that the property is located on the ground floor, which had been really helpful since we had so much luggage. COMPLETE AMENITIES You have basically anything that you need for couple of days of stays. Linens and towels were provided in all the room. There were even extras provided The kitchen is equipped for cooking, we were able to make our breakfast for all the mornings we stayed there. Carrefour is walking distance from the apartment and opens early until late night where we did our groceries. LOCATION AND TRANSPORT This place is close to Vatican City (if this is your main point of visit). You can literally see the dome from the gate of the apartment. It is about 15 min. walk to St. Peter's Basilica. It is a few minutes walk from the train station (about 10 min) and bus stop (about 7 min.) Rome's public transport is efficient, so if you don't mind the commute, you can actually get to wherever from this point (sometimes 2 rides). There is no regular Uber in Rome (I think in all of Italy), but you have Uber van and Uber black or Uber Taxi as options, which also works good but a but expensive of course. However, if you are traveling in group, consider Uber Van, especially during summer. EASE OF CHECK-IN Crisitina, who works for the Domus 44 Apartment, communicated with me through WhatsApp and gave a detailed instruction on how to access the key from a lock box. It was not hard to figure out, so we were able to check-in and got in the apartment easily. AIR-CONDITIONING We were in Rome during the high summer season, it was really hot. The AC had been a great help, probably the best thing after a long day outside. Each room (including the common room) has its own AC unit.

There's actually nothing that we didn't like, however some minor improvements could make the stay even better. The mattress and pillows are not hotel standard (which is really fine and this is going to be based on your preference). The blankets are thin sheets, which was fine but with the AC, it was kind of cold.
