The location was good. Even though on first arrival it seemed soo far away from everything, the next day when we walked on foot we found out that all main Himare places were actually really easy to get to. Yes there are a lot of steps but you don't need to be an athlete to walk those, it is easy. Parking was also good, we had a place for our car right by the apartment. The last stretch when arriving with a car is a steep uphill drive but our Hyundai i30 (low ground clearance) rental car easily managed to get there. Although I think it could seem a bit scary for inexperienced drivers, but you have to understand that most of the roads around Himare are like that, it is nothing out of the ordinary. The communication was also alright. Even though the sweet elderly couple that greeted us there did not speak a word of English, but the owner of this apartment helped us solve a couple issues promptly via WhatsApp when we asked, and they were also really responsive whenever we reached out to them.

We booked a room with a balcony, but it had no balcony. Upon asking the owner, they said that all their rooms have one. Even though ours really didn't. We realised that by balcony they meant that we can go around the front of the house, and then, right by the front door where the main shared entrance to the building is, there is an extended porch. But if we wanted to get there through our room, we would have to climb over the window, there is no direct entrance to it (and then we're just basically sitting right by the front door that everyone uses). It should definitely not be advertised as a room with a balcony. Also there were no kitchen utensils in the room. Just 4 glasses and an electric kettle. But if you want to make a sandwich in the room, you won't be able to do it. Not even prepare some fast-oats, because there are no bowls. Lastly, there is no border in the shower so the water spreads all over the area and then when we walk into the room we unwillingly take it out further out and a lot of the room floors get wet. We flagged this to the owner and they brought us a mop so that is nice of them, but still a bit inconvenient. The shower curtain also does not cover the toilet so if someone wants to use it after the shower, they have to clean the toilet first.

De badkamer/wc is erg klein. Tijdens het douchen wordt de wc helemaal nat. En er is alleen een handdouche aanwezig, deze kun je nergens aan ophangen dus je kunt niet lekker even onder de douche staan.

La literie, la climatisation, la petite terrasse, le parking qui permet de ne plus bouger la voiture, la proximité de la plage et des restaurants (attention tout de même à la remontée qui fait mal!), le jardin très bien entretenu par les propriétaires

La salle de bain qui, a chaque douche, est inondée et sent mauvais. Il vaut mieux éviter d’aller aux toilettes après avoir pris une douche sinon c’est les pieds dans l’eau! Une raclette aurait été utile pour enlever l’eau. Il manque aussi un balai (on a eu des fourmis), des lampes de chevet et une télé. La route est très compliquée pour y accéder car très pentue et uniquement une seule voiture peut passer. D’autre part, on m’a demandé de faire un virement de 20% 3 jours avant pour éviter le « no show » mais arrivée sur place, la personne qui nous a reçus n’était pas au courant et des frais bancaires ont été réclamés en plus (3€ mais c’est le principe).
