Our room was newly renovated and was nice and clean. The rest of the property is under renovation and isn't real pleasant at this time (9/20/25}. Our room overlooked the construction site and dumpster. We could not see the river at all. Overall, if I had it to do over again, I would probably choose to stay somewhere else (at least until renovations are done). We were there on Saturday afternoon and the downtown area was dead. All shops closed.

Everything was almost perfect. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but my room was impressive. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the walk in shower. There was construction but it was ok. They weren’t working when I was there. Walking distance to restaurants. The only down fall was the parking. With a SUV, it was a bit small and limited parking. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Wish it was a long stay than over night.

This property is under remodeling.The rooms are quite excellent for comfort. Very quiet and peaceful. I will say that when the remodel is completed this will be a top tier destination. I will return in the future and for all my stays in the Dalles area.

While the rooms have been renovated and are clean and well furnished, the construction in the main traffic areas wasn’t just construction, it hadn’t been renovated yet which was a big surprise when we drove up. Despite the shock upon check-in, the rooms were well appointed and super clean.

The hotel rooms were nice however, I did not know the hotel was under construction. It was quite disappointing that when I booked this with Expedia I was not told this hotel was under construction. They had no restaurant nor did I see any free breakfast served. When I booked this reservation Expedia stared that there was a restaurant and free breakfast included which there was not.

While the hotel is under construction, I was relieved that my room was in perfect condition. It was very comfortable and I would absolutely stay again if I were to pass through again.

Rooms were newly remodeled and spacious. Hotel listing didn’t mention that they were remodeling. Temporary office was tiny closet that smelled of cigarette smoke. Entry to office was blocked by Harley motorcycles and other cars, wasn’t even room to bring suitcases in. The included breakfast was just grab and go cold things. Sheets on beds were scratchy and not soft at all.

Nowhere on the website did it indicate hotel was under major construction. There was no lobby - just a desk in an odd room. This room had the breakfast items. Poor quality. I felt unsafe because door into where rooms are was not locked. The room was ok. The shampoo and conditioned bottles were off the shower wall. Lamps weren’t plugged in. And very loud construction started at 7 am. Not when you want to wake upon a vacation. I’m sure when it is done it will be nice - right now NO!

Tiffany was so nice and attentive! She told us the hotel is under renovations provided ear plugs and water. Asked if we need additional blankets and even told us there are cameras. The bed was cozy and sheets were crisp! The room was beautiful! We didn’t wake up to any noise too! Breakfast was bagels, yogurt and cereal. Coffee and juice provided too. We will back for sure can’t wait to see the new site!

The hotel room was great and the receptionist was very friendly. The sheets were stiff and uncomfortable and we were woken up at 7:00 by loud banging that sounded like bricks being thrown in a mental trash bin right outside our room.

We booked this hotel last minute, and got a very comfortable room with two comfortable beds and a nice roomy bathroom. Bathroom. It was very clean, and the front desk was very accommodating. We had planned to check out at about 6:00 in the morning and she said that somebody would be able to grab a few ready to go items for us to have for breakfast on the road. Even though their morning breakfast service it wasn't till later. They quickly brought us extra pillows and blankets, and I would definitely stay here again. There is construction going on right now and we heard it in the morning but it didn't start till about 8:30 or 9:00 so it wasn't a problem for us. If you wanted to sleep in later, you might want a room further away from the construction.
