Rose Cottage

A beautiful property and so well situated in the centre of Ambleside. The hosts have thought of everything to make this a delightful stay. I would highly recommend it

The house is an exceptional unit for our multi-generational family. We had 2 seniors, 3 children aged 6,4,1 and 3 other adults, and the 4 bedrooms were more than sufficient to accommodate us. The house was newly renovated so everything felt brand new and clean. The host Richard was very kind to explain everything via email, as well as a clear black folder with every feature in the house. Richard thought through everything that a large family needed - parking permits, baby cot, washer and laundry rack, ironing board, cutleries and condiments for cooking, local guides and maps, ways to cool down in summer, etc. Everything was explained clearly in the black folder. There was 2 living room area so there was plenty of space for different groups of people to hang out. The kitchen and dining areas were spacious for everyone. When the weather is not too hot, there is a nice outdoor dining area beside the river (which many people are paying to dine across the river from the house). The location of the unit is centrally located at Ambleside with eateries and grocery stores all around. Hiking routes are also within walking distances.
