Very disappointed at what the Krone has become

The position within the town was central and free parking available.

The restaurant was closed, this was one of the main reasons to return here with my wife, it was one of the best German restaurants in the town, this was some years ago when I worked locally many times. We were told there were three restaurants in town a short walk away. OK if you like burgers, kebabs or Chinese. At breakfast there was little or no staff around to help with breakfast, no offer of tee or kafee. It was all find it yourself.

At the time of my arrival reception was closed but their inventive way of handing the key shows trust and this is truly appreciated; the key was in a basket next to a note with my name and room number. It's an old fashioned house, the style I really like. All was clean and comfortable. It's restaurant was unfortunately closed but luckily the hotel is in the center of town and several eateries are present. The next day breakfast was fresh and plentiful, nicely set in an inviting room.

Comfortable and spacious stay for the whole family

The rooms were really quiet and spacious and been recently updated. Breakfast was tasty and varied and we enjoyed the coffee/drink machine. . We didn't hear any traffic and the girls enjoyed roaming around the stair cases. The staff were polite and able to point us in the direction of a top pizza joint and fabulous bakery.

The main bed was ultra soft with a thick topper that we sunk into. We ended up removing it and sleeping direct on the mattress which was fine. The shower took about 5 minutes to warm up, it was snowing so I guess that passable.

Couple of nights on return journey from Italy.

Do all Booking.com customers get the top floor bedrooms? I thought the room was comfortable and clean but the stairs up 2 floors weren’t a bonus. The breakfasts were quite acceptable, less choice on the second day though. The buffet was good for choice and quality.

Not the warmest welcome, must pay. Then told the restaurant was closed that evening, but there were lots of restaurants in the town, found one that was acceptable.

Well below expectations.

Room ok. Bathroom very dated.

this was our third visit to this hotel. On arrival receptionist insisted that our breakfast was extra at €12.50 each. It wasn't - it was included in our booking. We were told to sort it out with manager in the morning. Our room felt very cold, and when we asked for the heating to be turned on, we were told they would have to check with manager. Thank you to the lady to eventually brought a small fan heater up to us. Receptionist in morning eventually agreed our breakfast was included in price, but said that it wasn't normally included. Looking at Booking.com today, it is included, or not if you are happy to pay less. It seems like a sharp practice. Hotel is very run down looking on outside, and there is a lot of dereliction in Bexbach generally. I have looked at the hotels website, and it is certainly not the warm welcoming family run hotel that we found. We will definately will not be visiting again - not a good experience.

Good

Location was OK, good access from the main road and allot of parking space. Good rooms, allot of space. Clean, and well kept. Friendly staff who are very helpful.

Allot of noise. The windows didn't close well so we had allot of noise from the street and it seems that no matter which day it is, the people there like to race at night! To hot on the room. There was just no way you could cool it down (unless you open a window but then you have the street noise) No airco, or anything that could lower the temperature

there was a wedding venue that kept us up until 4:30 am. Fireworks/ light flashes at 4 a.m. loud music. we had a 8 hour drive the next day :(

alles war super ! Grösses Zimmer, tolles Frühstück. Wir sind wegen klasse mittelalterliches Weihnachtsmarkt in St.Wendel gekommen. Und nicht weit war auch schönes Weihnachtsmarkt in Saargemünd (Frankreich)

Hervorrangendes Hotel - sehr zu empfehlen - gerne wieder

sehr nette Gastgeber, hervorragendes Essen im Hauseigenem Restaurant- tolles Frühstück, alles was das Herz begehrt- großer Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel. Die Zimmer geräumig- sauber und nett eingerichtet.

War sonst gut.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war wie immer sehr gut. Das Zimmer und das gesamte Hotel war sehr sauber.

Die Matratzen waren zu weich und auch schon etwas durchgelegen. Im Zimmer 12 hat es über Nacht ziemlich stark nach "Gulli" gerochen, trotz geöffnetem Fenster. Habe dann die ganze Nacht den Abzug im Bad laufen lassen, da ging es, aber das Geräusch hat schon gestört.

Geräumiges Zimmer mit Blick in den Biergarten. Frühstück preiswert und ausreichend. Abendessen im Restaurant, besonders die Büffetvarianten sehr lecker. Diuei Bedienungen wsaren durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Fenster hat sich nicht komplett öffnen lassen und das Badezimmer ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Manche Wandfliesen waren kaputt.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals und das sehr gute Frühstück. Werde definitiv dort wieder buchen, aber eines der Appartements etwas weg vom Haupthaus aber ruhiger 😊

Hatte ein Zimmer unterm Dach, war warm, und da ich nur bei offenem Fenster schlafen kann auch nachts lang relativ laut.

Hotel war Top für einen Kurzaufenthalt.

Das Zimmer war sehr gut eingerichtet. Man hatte alles was man benötigt (Dusche, Schrank, Bett, Sofa, Tisch, kleiner Kühlschrank).

Das Gewinde des Duschkopfes war ein wenig beschädigt, so dass der Duschkopf einmal beim Duschen abfiel. Ansonsten war die Dusche aber sehr gut (Warmes Wasser, guter Wasserdruck).

Das es so etwas noch gibt. Ein Bad in bahamabeige. Absolut sehenswert. Aber leider sehr updatebedürftig.
