Fewo im Barockhaus Groß-Winternheim

The property is a gem in the heart of German wine country. My family and I spent two nights there while visiting the area. The location was perfect, even though we were there more for castles than vineyards. It was a short drive to the Rhine gorge and several historic sites. We enjoyed the view out the kitchen window, looking down the narrow street leading to the property and off onto the gentle hills beyond. The inner courtyard is relaxing and private, with the mature tree offering shade from the summer sun. The apartment is well appointed and comfortable, with several pieces of wonderful art, including the ornate antique ceramic stove in the living room. The kitchen was cozy but had plenty of storage as well as the needed conveniences. It is close to villages that offer dining options, though we chose to cook in both evenings. The owner was very accommodating, and we were greeted upon arrival. We would definitely considering staying again if we were back in the area.
