Kawa

The apartment is modern and moderately spacious. There is a great shower. There is a washing machine, but no dryer. It is on the canal which makes it peaceful and quiet.

The location was a bit hard to find. Make note, there is a 'Kawa' and a 'Kawa Kawa'. I made the mistake with the first taxi. The second taxi driver did not even know where the place was and he could not drop us off closer than about 150 - 200 feet anyway as it is not on a street. We used google maps to find the location. The stairs inside are steep and both bedrooms are up. Heavy suitcases are a challenge both ways. I was really skeptical about this place when I noticed it is right on the rail/subway tracks. Although they are frequent, fortunately the trains move fast and they stop at midnight. So the noise is gone quickly. They resume at 5 am which is when we usually got up. So all in all it wasn't as much of an issue as I feared. The carpet was a bit dirty - not vacuumed well. I did it myself.
