Gilfach Bach

This compact annexe is a perfect retreat for a couple. Stunning surroundings, and loads of bird life (helped by a bird feed station right outside the kitchen window). So many walks and trails all close by, and Dolgellau is a lovely little town with plenty of great cafes (TH Roberts has the best selection of homemade cakes I think I've ever seen!). The kitchen is well equipped, with some nice local treats provided too. All the necessary utensils are present for self-catering, and even staples like oil and salt and pepper mills, foil and clingfilm. There's a useful porch area for boots etc, and a drying rack. Everything is very clean and tidy.

The bed is only a double, not king - don't think the room is large enough for a bigger one. The shower cubicle is on the small side - again due to the compact nature of the annexe.

Facilities were great, location was lovelly.

Only issue was the location on bookings.com map is about 2 miles away in the wrong direction.

It was quite clean and comfortable I loved to see the birds from the kitchen window

All the facilities you could need. Easy parking. Very comfortable! Loved the location, very close to cadair idris for any keen hikers. Would highly recommend and I will be back!
