Exceptional Stay

I stayed for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. The apartment was spotless clean, cozy, and very well equipped, with a lovely view that made the stay even more relaxing. The owner is a true gentleman — his hospitality was outstanding, and at the same time he respected our privacy completely, even though he lives upstairs. It’s also a perfect place for a family with kids, offering both comfort and space in a safe and peaceful environment. The whole atmosphere felt comfortable and homely, and I would definitely come back again without hesitation.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful chalet with gorgeous views in Thun

The location was absolutely beautiful. It had amazing outside space which we used extensively. We had gorgeous weather and the hosts were very kind with letting us use all the outside amenities. We also arrived late enough that stores were closed and the hosts shared their wine/beer as long as we replaced it. Very well appointed kitchen with everything needed for coffee and cooking. Also received a bus pass for the time that we were there so transportation around Thun and to Interlaken was easy! The views from this property are beautiful.

It was very warm when we were there and the bedrooms were hard to cool down. There were fans available but it still was warm sleeping. I’m guessing that is not the norm there though. The bedrooms are very small.

Aussicht und Lage waren wunderschön. Chalet war gut eingerichtet und hatte alles was wir brauchten war da.

Per E-Mail wurde uns eine frühzeitige Ankunft um 13:00 Uhr bestätigt. Als wir jedoch pünktlich eintrafen, war noch eine Reinigungskraft vor Ort, die uns mitteilte, dass der Check-in erst ab 15:00 Uhr möglich sei. Zusätzlich war der große Müllcontainer bei unserer Ankunft bereits komplett überfüllt – es gab keinerlei Platz mehr für unseren Abfall. Das Doppelbett im Zimmer ohne Fernseher war aufgrund eines gebrochenen Lattenrosts nicht benutzbar, weshalb es unmöglich war, dass zwei Erwachsene darin schlafen konnten. Mein Sohn musste daher die gesamte Zeit auf dem Sofa übernachten. Besonders unangenehm empfanden wir zudem, dass jedes Mal, wenn unsere Schweizer Verwandten zu Besuch kamen, eine Dame aus dem oberen Stockwerk erschien, um offenbar zu kontrollieren, wer zu uns kommt. In einem Fall war sie sogar bereits am Parkplatz, noch bevor der Besuch ausgestiegen war. Dieses Verhalten empfanden wir als übergriffig – man fühlt sich nicht wie ein willkommener Gast, sondern eher wie ein Störfaktor. Auch der Zugang zur Unterkunft war mit einem Kinderwagen sehr umständlich, da die Treppe nicht barrierefrei ist.
