Sophie Deluxe House ONLY 6 km FROM THE SEA

The house and grounds are beautiful. The apartment is lovely and has everything you need (apart from a toaster), having a washing machine is very handy. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher, oven, hob, coffee pot and kettle. The loft bedroom is nice and has lots of storage. We paid extra to upgrade and add the additional room and en suite that are attached to the apartment. Air con in every room is great. The outdoor dining area is really nice but watch out for mosquitoes in the evening. Plenty of parking space. The pool is really nice and although heated is still a little bit cold, this is shared with the family who live downstairs. There is a garden, basketball area and table tennis. There are views of the sea. The house has electric gates and is very secure. The beach area is about a 10 minute drive. It has a little chalet that sells ice creams, drinks and couple of other bits of food. The 2 umbrellas that are included are in the back row of the beach. Grottammare has free parking throughout, including at the beach, Sunday was the only day it was busier. Andreaa and Marcus were friendly and helpful. Andreea recommended a couple of restaurants and bars to go to. We went to Papa Sisto which was lovely in the hills but quite a steep walk from the car park. We usually stay in San Benedetto but Grottammare is just as nice, just smaller. We would definitely go back to Sophie House.

The only downside is the road up. It’s up a single dirt/stone track that can be a struggle to get up. I would recommend an automatic car.

Hard to fault it!

Eine traumhaft gelegene und hervorragend ausgestattete große Ferienwohnung. Es fehlte wirklich nichts. Vom großen beheizten Pool , der außer von uns nur vom Besitzer genutzt wurde, schaut man aufs Mittelmeer und die umliegenden Hügel. Den privaten Strand - ca 5 km entfernt- konnten wir incl Sonnenschirm und Liegen mitbenutzen. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich, alles selbst das sehr große Grundstück waren sauber und gepflegt. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Nicht gefallen ist der falsche Begriff. Die Zufahrt auf unbefestigtem und steilen Weg ist eine Herausforderung, aber machbar.
