Yuda Ka - Vacation STAY 92250v

Alan and his family were spectacular hosts, welcoming us to the amazing old house they have completely renovated and furnished, and going above and beyond in helping us get around the island, choose sightseeing plans, and locate lost items (whoops!). We appreciated the freshly-baked bread and homemade strawberry jam, eggs from their own chickens, local strawberries, and drinks in the refrigerator. We ate dinner both nights at their on-site restaurant, and the meals were a highlight of our trip to Japan. We highly recommend making reservations for the restaurant, as shopping and dining facilities are limited on Teshima.

Alan and his wife were absolutely incredible hosts from the moment he picked us up from the port. Their warmth and hospitality were evident throughout our stay - Alan even drove our mom to lunch, which was such a thoughtful touch. Yuda Ka is a truly special place. From its rich history to the overall experience, every detail was considered. We arrived to a fridge stocked with wine, fresh eggs, strawberries and freshly baked bread - it immediately felt like home! Alan also sat with us and shared everything we should explore on the island. After travelling to so many locations across Japan, this ended up being the highlight of our entire trip. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the island itself has so much to explore (we wish we had more time). We highly recommend renting bikes to get around - it's an easy way to explore and loads of fun! One evening we booked dinner at the restaurant on the property and were completely blown away. The food was exceptional and the perfect way to celebrate my birthday (of course like with everything else, they made it special). We cannot put into words how exceptional this experience was. If you are looking for something truly unique and memorable in Japan - this is it!

Everything was fantastic. Our only feedback is that there are no grocery stores on the island (only one very basic one), so you may want to consider bringing some basics with you. Alan did warn us beforehand.

Alan was such a great host and really helped us out navigating the island in the rain. He also helped us book a restaurant on a night when most were closed.

Schönes geräumiges Haus mit guter Ausstattung.

Für die Vermietung eines Fahrrades von 14.00 - 18.30 Uhr wurden uns pro Rad YEN 4.500 berechnet. Vereinbart waren YEN 2000 pro Tag. Der Eigentümer erklärte uns, daß er YEN 500 für das Abstellen des Fahrades vor seinem Haus berechne. Und YEN 2000, da er die Fahrräder angeblich am nächsten Tag nicht vermieten könne. Wir haben jedoch alle 6 Fahrräder wenig später am Museum entdeckt. Über dieses dreiste Verhalten des Eigentümers haben wir uns sehr geärgert.
