Location was excellent, a short walking distance to Konpira where all the shops and temples were. The entire staff was excellent. Most were non-Japanese, multi-lingual, spoke,Japanese and English fluently and were extremely friendly, personable, respectful and attentive. I had a rental car so the ample parking that they had was very helpful. The gardens on the premises were beautiful and although I was not in the season to see the Azaleas, I can tell that they would be awesome in season. I enjoyed walking through the mountain path that leads from the hotel to Konpira. The hotel was large and the rooms were very comfortable and clean.

The garden is lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. The onsen is relaxing and overlooking the woods and the city. I especially loved the walk in the woods behind the hotel. From there you can reach the temple

The quality of breakfast is better than dinner in terms of quality and range of food provided.
As an elderly couple, have to walk up and down many staircases to go between the room and the mainfacilities (recpetion, restaurant, lounge, public spa).
