I had a beautiful view of the woods and 3 windows to let in a breeze. On the day I checked out, a singer came by and was signing on the patio. The staff was very nice, when I saw anyone. Excellent value for the price.
I don’t like the Alfred check in process. I didn’t get my code to get my key in a timely fashion. When I called the hotel, no one answered. Room 15 shares a hallway with staff.

Quiet location, not far from a nice restaurant. Parking next to the entrance. Breakfast not too bad.
The lift was out of order . We booked a superior room : many of them have a balcony, but not ours. They said that all the rooms with balcony were booked, which was nonsense : both rooms with balcony next to ours were empty like most of the rooms in the hotel. It would have been nice to be able to get a drink in the evening, but no such thing. The beds were o.k., but the terry undersheet not very professional : should be percale cotton.
