Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at PelicanRoost. Plenty of room with 5 bedrooms, bunk room for the grandchildren. And a well stocked kitchen and family gathering area. TV’s in all rooms with YouTubeTV provided. Enjoyed the elevator, ping pong table and golf cart. Views of beach and marsh with beach only a short walk or cart ride away. Great location and great stay. Bryan was a great host and responded promptly with and questions or issues.

We stayed at the pelican roost for a week. The house is beautiful and provided plenty of room for 3 and a half families. The home has 3 floors it includes an elevator which was helpful for my mom. The highlight of the home for me was the pier leading into the waterways. We fished out there a lot. People in the community were very nice and easy to talk too. Location to the beach was a short ride on the golf cart or about a 5 min walk. The living room provided awesome views of the waterways where you’re able to watch the tide come in and leave. Fishing on the pier was great, my 8yr old stayed out there almost everyday. The pier was also my hangout spot at night. Oak island as a whole is a great community not as busy as some more commercial beaches. Also our guest host Bryan who answered every question I had before, during and after our visit. He was very helpful and attentive to our needs or requests. We will definitely plan to stay again.

We rented Pelican’s Roost for a family vacation. The location is great - short walk to the beach and it backs up to a tidal marsh waterway with a long fishing dock. The house was very clean. Linens were provided with plenty of towels. Plenty of supplies (paper towels, tp, garbage bags, soap, etc) to get you started. Our group included an older family member with limited mobility. The elevator and golf cart were very helpful. Lots of beach chairs available in the garage! The garage also has a ping pong table and corn hole boards. There are two large charcoal grills. Everything was great - we’d definitely stay here again.
