Rose Hostel

As one of the cheapest places in Tirana and with the bad reviews I read I came with low expectations, however, I was very happy with my 4 nights in the twin room. The room was very spacious and the beds comfortable with plenty of blankets and covers to deal with the cold. There is Aircon/heating, and a private balcony too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming The hot water is HOT which is great for winter months. The location is great with a cafe on the corner and a supermarket down the street and other places to eat and a few minutes walk to the Centre

I rated an 8 because the WiFi was very week in the room I had and also because all the doors and windows are open in the property, the property is very cold. Thankfully the room was warm enough. However, as the cheapest place, I didn't expect 5-star so still I felt good value for money for a private room.

Well, let me be honest. You get what you pay for. If you need a private bathroom, or a large screen TV (who, the ... needs a large screen TV while traveling?) get yourself a room at Continental. What I loved: 1. location, close to the center, 2. friendliness of the staff, 3. THE PRICE!, the best value for your money, 4. WiFi - excellent!

I got everything I needed. Of course, there is always some room for improvements left. There is no clear sign with the hostel name. But it was not a problem for me. It was the second time when I stayed there. So I knew the surroundings. And the next time? I will choose the same place. The best value for money.

The place was amazing. Stuff friendly. I read a few opinions about that place before booking. They advised certain things, like bring your own towel, I brought it, it was not required, towels were provided. The location was amazing, close to the very center. I do not understand bad opinions about this place. You get what you pay for. If you like high standards I recommend the continental hotel at 90 eur/night. Wifi was amazing, high speed and reachable from the room. Safety of the place was also great, I left my passport in the room, so my money, nobody touched it. There is a store 100m from the place, eco store is the name, they accept international credit/debit cards, there is also a local patiserie behind the corner of the street, you can buy local bakery products there, excellent breakfast, for next to nothing. What else can I say? If you intend to travel on small budget this is the place. And if you are not, go and grab yourself the Intercontinental If I ever return to Tirana I will stay at this very hostel

The location is slightly difficult to find. Look for the Senator Hotel at rruga Fortuzi. Find a local cafe on the opposite side from the hotel and ask them for directions.

With limited English, they really tried to understand and help us be happy.
