Host gentilissima, ci ha fornito con l’aiuto del traduttore tutte le informazioni necessarie e si è anche offerta di prenotare per noi la cena in una ristorante di fronte alla casa che si è rivelata squisita. La casa è dotata di tutto il necessario e la proprietaria ci ha reso disponibili anche snack, gelato, acqua e tè per rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Pulizia impeccabile, appartamento incantevole, in struttura del 1800 ma completamente rinnovato negli interni, molto caratteristico. Non è presente aria condizionata ma ci sono ventilatori e pinguini che hanno reso piacevole il soggiorno anche ad agosto.

Fantastic edo period house in Narai, renovated with all the amenities needed. The owner was very kind, reserved a place for dinner for us in an equally fantastic udon place front door.

The property was in the heart of the town, in the middle of all Narai-juku’s shops and restaurants, and a short walk to either end of the town. It was newly renovated and quite comfortable. This is a historical building from the 1600s that has been completely renovated with modern plumbing and a spacious kitchen. The accommodation offered excellent value for the amenities and location. Note there is no air conditioning, but the fans provided were more than enough for us. But the best was the warm welcome that we received from the host, who took the time to explain everything to us, and made sure we had everything that we needed. She also helped us book a dinner reservation at a restaurant right across the street, which was extremely helpful, given that most restaurants closed early for the night. We were really happy to stay at this place - we had a great experience and highly recommend it.

The only downside was the front room, which can get noisy because it is right next to the street. However, it is very quiet at night and the issue can be solved with earplugs.
