Visited Grand Mercure in 2026, after the refurbishing. The landscaping works at the entrance is still being upgraded, and the entire hotel looks brand new.
The team of staff were all efficient and warm, from the reception, concierge, to the Ambrosia Restaurant. They have a convenient shuttle to the mall, with a brand new van.
The kueh lapis and grilled sausages at the breakfast buffet were delicious, and the chefs did the grilling on the spot.
Will be keen to try the Sup Buntut next time around.
Will definitely recommend travellers to visit this hotel, excellent experience in Batam.
