I loved everything about my stay at Bouganville Apartments from the moment I arrived. I was met at the airport by Eldon, the driver, who took me straight to the apartment and made sure I was comfortable and settled in.
The apartment is fantastic — well-equipped, clean, and spacious, with a large balcony offering beautiful sea views. It's less than a minute’s walk to Angulo Beach and only a 10-minute walk to the town centre.
The kitchen has everything you could need, including a microwave, hob, and (rare for Sal!) a full oven. There's also a blender, plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans, a washing machine, and even an iron — all very thoughtfully provided.
The living room is cozy and comfortable, with ambient lighting, a large comfy couch, Android TV, ceiling fans, and air conditioning — perfect for relaxing after a day out.
The bedroom has a king-size bed with luxurious 100% cotton sheets, and the bathroom features a walk-in shower with thermostatic control and a dual shower head.
The hosts, Jessie and Armindo, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and supported throughout my stay.
I’ve stayed in many apartments in Santa Maria, but this was by far the best. It has everything you could possibly need and is very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be staying here again on future trips — highly recommended!
The only thing I could criticise would be the entrance hall/staircase to the apartment which was quite dirty but this is a communal area so is out of the hosts control and in fact did not affect my enjoyment of the apartment at all. Don't let it put you off!

Great location, right next to Angulo beach which is more calm part of the town, so you can get decent sleep comparing to the town centre, also perfect for those who want to train water sports. The property was the best equipped property in the town ( I’ve stayed in Santa Maria 5+ times already ) there is everything you need for cooking if self catering, Loads of towels, brand new washing machine. The host even provided cleaning products, washing detergents, water which is rare in Santa Maria. The bed is very comfortable and so is the sofa. There is a smart tv so you can connect to your Netflix etc
