My stay at Kaliviani Traditional House in the charming village of Kaliviani, Crete, was exceptional in every way. This property blends traditional Cretan character with modern comfort, offering immaculate rooms, generous space, and balconies overlooking the shimmering sea. Each morning felt like a postcard moment.🌅 From the very beginning, Ioannis, the owner, elevated my experience. His communication was prompt and thoughtful, and his guidance was invaluable — including rescuing me from a mountain detour and explaining that Apple Maps aren’t the most reliable in Greece!🙃His kindness and attentiveness continued throughout my stay, making the property feel less like a rental and more like a welcoming home.🩷 The location is unbeatable. Falasarna Beach, my favorite in the world, is just 15 minutes away. The drive to Elafonisi is a scenic masterpiece, hugging the coastline for just over an hour. The village of Kaliviani itself offers excellent dining options within a few minutes walk, and parking on the property is effortless.🏝️ With Old Town Chania only 35–45 minutes away, Kaliviani Traditional House sits at the perfect crossroads of convenience and natural beauty. I wholeheartedly give this property my highest recommendation — a standout stay defined by hospitality, comfort, and unforgettable surroundings.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Honestly, nothing at all!

The hotel is a beautiful exercise in design, from the renovated rooms (which perfectly fit the building’s ambience) to the spacious dining hall. Even something as simple as breakfast is elevated to a small ceremony and adds to the sense of occasion. We will return next year.

The room and bathroom are large, and the balcony has a great view. Convenient location for visiting Falasarna Beach or Balos beach, and there are two good restaurants in just a few steps.

It is expensive for what you get. We have stayed in other places which have been half the price of this one, with more amenities, breakfast, and nice quality finishes - it's a little bit like a hospital room.
