    Really enjoyable time

I recently stayed at Seabel Alhambra and my experience was quite mixed. While the resort grounds are spacious and visually appealing, the hotel itself is in serious need of refurbishment and better attention to cleanliness. The carpets in the hallway were visibly dirty, and inside the room, there was a strong chlorine smell coming from the toilet and bed sheets. The balcony door wouldn’t close, and the main door was difficult to open. The telephone didn’t work, the light outside my room wasn’t working, and the WiFi wouldn’t work properly either. There was only one power socket, no iron, no tissue box, and no basic bathroom amenities like a shower cap or toothbrush. On a more positive note, the spa was excellent - truly one of the best massages I’ve ever had. However, it was a mixed facility, which made the experience less relaxing. It would have been much better if there were separate spaces for men and women. Also, the spa closes at 7pm, which is surprisingly early for a resort of this size and category. The food offered a lot of variety, and overall it was decent. There was even a BBQ during my stay, which was a really enjoyable experience. In summary, while Seabel Alhambra has a lot of potential thanks to its spacious grounds and lovely staff, the current state of the rooms and facilities doesn’t meet the standard you’d expect from a resort. A full renovation and better focus on cleanliness and comfort would make a world of difference.
