It was a lovely place, the staff were very friendly and also made a huge fuss of our dogs. They really are a truly dog friendly place, we'd definitely return for a longer stay another time. The food was also fabulous, generous portions and good value. The Laggan Hotel was the first hotel we stayed in at the start of a two week long road trip, and it set high expectations for the others along the way! It has definitely been the best overall.

Set in amazing Highland mountains deep within the Badenoch area, close to the main A9 route going North and South, but away from the through traffic in an idyllic, serene valley with sheep grazing outside, and pheasants strolling around. Walls clad as a tartan treat festooned with highland surprises, then with lots of space to look at all the ornaments and pictures. Every member of staff was brilliant. Each was pleasant and welcoming, all eager to serve and please. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean and warm. The breakfast was tasty and I think I had the best tasting haggis I’ve ever had. Waking up here I had a morning of exploring the mountains before driving home.
I felt my tomato and basil soup starter and brownie desert costing £27 for a two course meal was a steep price. The abundant setting however made up for the priciness of my small meal. I felt guilty asking for anything given the yards each server had to walk for each drink or plate in such a large venue. I clearly stayed ahead of the main season starting so may have experienced a quieter stay than might be normal here.
