M'Pai Bay 23 Ripples Guesthouse and Sky Bar

Quaint little guesthouse just up the hill from the main village of M'Pai Bay. Free water throughout and the young girl at check-in was nice. Building itself appears new and updated and there's a cute bar upstairs, though it wasn't open during low season while I was there.

I knew there wouldn't be aircon, but somehow the room was just stifling hot, even with all the windows and doors open and the fan on, much hotter even than the hallway leading to the room. It just made it impossible to sleep as I was absolutely drenched in sweat (as was the bed) and couldn't ever get comfortable. No wifi working at property which made staying connected quite hard as cell reception on the islands is horrible. Dirt roads only leading to hotel so if it rains every path is a mudslide making it hard to leave or get back to the hotel.

Hôtel super sympa, chambre très propre, le gérant est très sympa et sans oublier superbe Sky bar Vraiment hôtel au top, j’espère pouvoir y revenir

The hostel is very well administered and very clean. Also, the terrace view is just perfect.

There is no hot water (however, I believe it is normal in the island).

Owner took our cash before advising his wifi was broken. Major inconvenience.We would have moved hotels if known beforehand. Overpriced considering our accommodation the previous night was cheaper and had AC Smart TV and a much bigger room. Ridiculously loud reptile? Sounds outside my window at daylight onwards..Earplugs no help.
