About this chalet rental

Chalet Sauterelle offers luxury accommodation for a group of friends, or two families, in four bedrooms, sharing three bathrooms. Sauterelle is situated in Morzine which is fully connected to the huge Portes du Soleil ski region and with easy car and shuttle bus access to Avoriaz. With over 650km piste and virtually endless off piste there really is something for every grade of skier or boarder to tackle, with the free shuttle bus stop right outside the chalet. For the non-skier there are many walks in the area, and lots of shops and restaurants to while away the time. There is a 7 person hot tub situated to take advantage of the stunning views over Morzine. The chalet has two spacious living areas. A large open plan lounge, set around a wood-burning fire, with dining area and kitchen plus a further sitting area on the huge mezzanine. Chalet Sauterelle is available on an un-catered or catered basis. We have teamed up with a highly experienced chef who has worked in Morzine for many years who comes highly recommended.

During the summer season, the chalet is a member of the highly popular Multipass scheme.

Well equiped chalet with beautiful views. We loved the shared pool and our own hot tub was an extra treat. Evenings on the balcony with a glass of wine were perfect. One point-for the summer- the free bus does not run all the way up to the chalet- not a problem for us but could be for others. Toutist information said it was a winter only bus route

We had a nice time, the outside swimming pool was very nice. Only thing we missen was a embrella on the balkony, because it was very hot the days we where in Morzine. Tom was very helpfull and kind hè send us nice info for things to do with the kids.

Chalet Sauterelle is one half of a double house in a larger complex of several chalets, whirlpool is private, pool is shared with several other properties. On warm days, the chalet got really hot and could do with an air con. Generally well appointed with most of the appliances you would need. Parking is an issue since there is only one allocated parking space (in a property with 4 bedrooms), so you are reliant on neighbours agreeing you can use one of their spaces if you have a second vehicle, or parking a long way away. The whirlpool was clean but the jets didn't work well and probably needs a service. The pool area had no shade areas and was generally in need of a freshen-up (several pool recliners broken, pool need cleaning).

Beautiful apartment with lovely views. However quite far from town with bus that only comes every 30 mins so was a bit tricky with skiis. If snow conditions were better you can get the bus directly to Nyon but otherwise it’s 2 buses to get to the bubbles. Also bit far without a car to go into town in the eve. But very responsive re communication so great choice for those with a car!

Trip away with family. The owner Ian was great with communication and Tom the host was excellent as well. The chalet was great and the pool and hot tub a total hit. Big uphill walk to the chalet from the village but there is a bus, we just didn’t use it. The views are phenomenal. Super having a bbq as well. Chalet is well equipped although Only thing would maybe be a Couple of fans as the chalet got really hot due to the weather Morzine itself is fabulous with so much today Easily one of our best family holidays ever. Beats the beach hands down

We will stay here again. We drove down from the UK and although there is a ski bus I am not sure we’d have had such a great time if we needed to rely on it. You can walk into Morzine (+20mins) but that’s not too much fun if you get the amount of rain we had. Hot-tub was great addition. Trying to think of something negative to say and struggling. Greats comms from owner too.

The chalet was lovely, good number and size of rooms, kitchen well equipped for adults and even for kids with plastic tableware. It would have been good to know prior arrival that there is a coffee machine that takes capsules and not only the usual old style coffee maker (we brought our own coffee machine and capsules as we didnt want to risk not having our beloved coffee in the morning.) We liked the 2 living areas, one with the TV, well a small size TV for these days ;-), and the other with fire place. The Jacuzzi was hot all the time and great to unwind in. The bus only goes ones every hour and didn't quite goes to the center which was not very practical with a toddler. So we needed to use the car to get to Morzine, where finding a parking spot was a daily struggle and there were of course traffic jams in peak hours. So if you don't mind taking car everywhere, the chalet is perfect for you! If you would like to just pop into the nearest bakery on foot to pick up a few croissants - you need to look for another place. Overall I rate the chalet well, really good for families or large groups.

Lucy was so helpful and made our check in so easy. The chalet is clean warm and well equipped. The hot tub was a real bonus too. Only one problem.. there was not enough hot water for more than 3 people to shower! Although Lucy did say she would try to have it fixed. We would definitely return

Chalet Sautarelle was top class!!!

This chalet was perfectly suited for our visit ( 6 adults and 2 children). You could have had an additional person sleep in the pull out bed very comfortably. We had an amazing trip here in Morzine and spent time skiing on the slopes (both on Pleney only a 5 minute drive away and Les Gets a 15 minute drive away). There was also a free bus which picked up right outside the chalet and dropped you at the roundabout Mouille au Clerc. You can then walk into the Centre or hop on another free bus (we used Ligne A) to get propped of right at TC Pleney for skiing. There was a good covered parking space underneath the chalet and a dry boot room which left our skis and boots dry for the following day. There was a lift or stairs up to the chalet which was perfectly situated to face the beautiful white mountains. We fell in love with this chalet and will definitely use again next year. The chalet had everything you need for a cosy stay and we picked up groceries on the way from Geneva Airport so ate in a few nights using the amenities available to us. Overall a really beautiful chalet in a gorgeous mountain town.

The property was excellent and as described, perfect for the needs of a group or family. Location is what it is, and certainly is not a problem if you realise it is a short walk to the centre and do your research into buses and taxis. The management, whether the owner or employees used, chose to keep a chunk of our deposit for very little reason. We tidied, stripped beds etc but they chose, after we'd left, to insult us by saying it was filthy. We suspect this is a ploy by someone to gain extra income. They said the hot tub was used once. We phoned our contact to say it wasn't working and sent pictures of the display. She informed us it was showing a fault. Part of the deposit kept was to "clean and refill" the hot tub, which most people would like to think was standard practice anyway for hygiene? I contacted the owner about our suspicions which were obviously denied. We weren’t prepared to let taking a sum of the deposit spoil our trip but would like to warn others to beware of this most basic tactic

We stayed here for 4 nights in January and the chalet was perfect. It is a good 25 min walk to the super morzine and getting back from morzine centre is difficult without a pre booked taxi otherwise you face a steep uphill trek which would be very difficult for young families. We managed to get a local taxi driver to pre book lifts into/out of the resort. Overall a great holiday!

Great chalet for 9 of us with a fabulous view over Morzine. It had good size rooms, great kitchen and a lovely hot tub! We were welcomed on arrival and shown where everything was. The free bus past the chalet goes once an hour, or it’s a 15min walk down the hill to the more frequent bus routes.

We were two families of 4 and stayed in this lovely chalet in April 19. The accommodation is perfect for families sharing with a practical living space, outstanding vistas and a hot tub to soothe aching limbs. We ate in every night which was great as chalet has all the facilities you need, skied up in avoriaz as late in the season but only a 10 min drive to prodaines express. Would recommend both DoorStep skis and Ski Bro for ski hire and lessons. Hired a 9 seater from french side of Geneva to save costs although plenty on Brit number plates so driving from Uk also an option. Highly recommend this chalet if you want to ski hard and enjoy nights in.

The property was perfect for us. We were 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 6 children. The chalet is very well equipped, clean, tidy and the hot tub is lovely in the evening to relax after a day on the slops. There is a free bus every hour down to the village, this was reliable and easy to use. It stops right outside the chalet. I would recommend hiring a locker in the village by the pleney to leave your ski’s so that you are able to walk if you did not want to catch the bus. We had a great time and hope to book again next year.

We stayed here over Easter for a skiing holiday . Chalet was lovely, plenty of space of all. Everything there that you could possibly need. Great views over Morzine and the hot tub was a real hit. It is a little treck up the hill if you don't have transport but there is a bus service a few minutes walk away.

A lovely chalet with plenty of space for 2 families of 5 each. The hot tub was an added luxury. The snug was brilliant for the children. The walk to the bus is only 10minutes but along a busy road with no pavement or street lights so had to keep a close eye on the younger children. We had a fantastic time in a lovely resort and chalet. Ian (the owner) was fantastic with corespondances and very helpful. Mara the chalet manager helpful on phone when problem with dishwasher. Engineer called to fix it as well as both outside lights and 1 ring of hob but as over new year it would be happening after we left (this was no problem to us though). We had a great holiday.

Nice property. Clean and tidy .good view of morzine. A few things didn't work but over all good and fare price. A bit of a trek up the hill on our bikes but kept us fit. Could of done with more storage for bikes we had to lock them in the our van as not enough room to put them in ski room. We would book again .

Excellent location with fantastic views overlooking Morzine. Facilities were clean and when we did need help to fix the dishwasher this was resolved immediately. The pool and hot tub were a real bonus and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be coming back!
