Host & Stay - Harbour View Cottage

Lovely house in a prime location.

There had recently been a flood and there was a significant smell of damp. I anticipate that this matter will be swiftly dealt with however due to the professional standards to which the property is clearly managed too. Overall a very nice place and worth the money.

Location is fab. A short walk into Whitby. The steps are ok in the light but need to be careful in the dark. Lovely fittings in the bathrooms

It wasn't the easiest to find, down an alleyway between 2 houses and along a pathway. Then up and down some stairs. The option from the front was a lot easier to find, just the steps. Also there were no pans in the kitchen only the frying pan.

The location was great however to get to the property there was a lot of awkward stairs this should maybe be stated as was very awkward for my elderly mother

We used the washer and it stopped half way through and wouldn't drain water away. I tried several times to contact but without success, on the last day when we were checking out I got a response which was to late was advised they would keep me updated ut have yet to hear 4 weeks later

Bathrooms/ showers nice. Close to centre. Beds comfy.

A lot misleading in the property description. Parking situation nearly impossible: took 35 mins to find a space and it was 1/4 mile up the hill! Access very tricky: the ‘step free’ alley had steps and was uneven (we had to leave our bags behind to get the children in safely first). Washing machine out of order (with a sign) but I had two young kids with me and needed it! Nobody had told me. Flooring chunks missing downstairs: my daughter got a splinter in her foot. Blinds in bedroom fell on my kids heads on two occasions while they were asleep and nearly caught an eye. Carpets badly stained in quite a few areas.
