Uryah Hotel Lombok

Modern and new. Breakfast was nice although I would say similar to similarly priced resorts we stayed at.

The whole hotel is built on a small piece of land. When the outside is a wasteland, this gets rather claustrophobic. It costs IDR50k to get to and from Selong Belanak. A provider who quoted us for a tour upped it by IDR250k because we were in Selong Belanak and not Kuta. The roads are not safe even for the short walk to Selong Belanak beach. Finally, the therapist at the spa was great and worked hard but the ambience was poor. It isn’t really a spa but a small room tucked in a corner next to the laundry room.

The location is nice and quiet but we still walked everywhere which was perfectly doable. The rooms are the perfect size and we loved our balcony. The food is great but the absolute gem of this place is its staff. They are all so nice and attentive. We would definitely return if we ever get the chance.

The only (minor) default was that there were not enough lounge beds by the pool. We have only been able to enjoy them for an hour one day out of the six and sat on the floor or the edge of the pool the other days.

The property is beautiful and is a little oasis in itself!! The facilities are fantastic, the rooms tastefully decorated and comfy and the staff are.so kind and attentive.

Nothing about the hotel, it’s amazing! The town of Selong Belanak is still feels new to tourism and outside of the hotel, the area does have an issue with litter along the main road which is a shame. Obviously that is nothing to do with the hotel, it just spoils the walk to/from the beach.

The rooms were modern, clean, comfortable, we stayed in a bungalow which was spacious enough. The staff were exceptional, really accommodating, very welcoming and went out of their way to assist you. The hotel was small and so you got to know the staff very quickly and they made a point of getting to know you. The pool was small but nicely designed for cooling off and relaxing, adequate for the number of guests the hotel accommodates. The restaurant accommodated my gluten allergy with fresh bread daily. Transport to all beaches was provided promptly and at reasonable prices. The transfer and trips organised through the hotel were reasonably priced and personal, with informed and friendly hosts. The hotel used WhatsApp to message to confirm arrangements and to advise of any important matters, which meant you could easily contact them if you needed anything including being picked up to return to the hotel.

There was very little to dislike. The site is small which means many of the rooms are very close to the pool which may give privacy concerns for the guests in those rooms, but we didn’t experience that.
