The Moorings Apartment 6 - Close to the Lake!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, modern, and nearly new property. The house feels luxurious, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, making our stay incredibly comfortable. It was lovely and warm inside, with air conditioning available as well. My personal favourite was the great view from the master bedroom. The open landscape and beautiful lake views were absolutely stunning. I couldn’t help but sit down, take my time, and simply soak in the peaceful scenery. It was one of those moments where you could just relax, let your mind wander, and forget about everything else. A special thank you to Cheryl and the cleaning team! We accidentally left behind a wallet containing bank cards and a driver’s licence. Cheryl kindly contacted us and arranged to courier it back to our home in Auckland. We truly appreciate their honesty, kindness, and exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended! A+++++

It’s extremely difficult to fault this property. The location is an easy 20 min stroll along the lake to town. The living and kitchen space is warm and welcoming with airco & large glass doors to entertainment areas back and front. Including the gas fireplace outside which was fantastic while relaxing with an evening drink. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and enjoy meals. We loved the basket of thoughtful treats and the milk to get us started. The decor has been tastefully considered and colours blend with the outdoors. We visited as a family end of May and the hosts had put electric blankets on all the beds. There is stairs leading up to the front door and also to the different levels so you need to consider this if staying with small kids. We will definitely return when we visit Taupo again.

We would encourage the hosts to consider the purchase of a new mattress for the master bedroom bed as we found it saggy.

Excellent location, apartment itself was modern and comfortable, process of getting keys was easy. Someone had been in to turn on the heaters to make sure it was comfortable and cosy when we arrived at 5pm.
