Ta Petrina Cottage

This cottage is perfect! The care that’s got in to the decor as well as the functionality of the space is impeccable, you can tell it’s been done with great love. We managed to have most meals on the private terrace above, which was a dream for us as well as our dog. The area is picturesque and ideal for a beautiful getaway - bonus points for the nearby hike and the restaurant in the below village. And, the hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

The village is adorable, the house is very beautiful and cosy. People in Selishte are friendly and hospitable.

Unique house - inside and out. Art pieces everywhere, feeling like you are at home.

We were two families, celebrating New Year's eve festivity– myself, my spouse, and our child, and my sister with her husband and their two children. The house turned out to be the perfect choice for both a festive feeling and a family getaway. It is very cozy and has absolutely everything you need to feel as if you are at home, but in a completely different, tranquil setting. We were charmed by the design – a beautiful blend of authentic Rhodope spirit and a light Provencal touch. But the biggest impressions were from the indescribable views and the complete, blissful silence. The pellet stove and the fireplace were the heart of our stay, bringing incredible magic and warmth throughout the days. We would like to thank the hosts, Daniela and Ivaylo, for their trust and organization. Furthermore, a big thank you to the wonderful neighbors of #TaPetrinaCottage! Auntie Violeta's son helped us with the functions of the pellet stove, and on January 1st, the children went to do the "SURVA" (see the NOTE) and the family of auntie Violeta invited us over. Auntie Violeta warmly welcomed us and treated us to incredibly delicious traditional Rhodope dishes, which contributed even more to the feeling of hospitality and authenticity. NOTE: Surva is a lively Bulgarian New Year's tradition on January 1st where children tap adults with decorated cornel branches called survachki while reciting blessings for health and prosperit We highly recommend "#TaPetrinaCottage" to anyone looking for peace, beautiful nature, warmth, and a real break from the city! We will definitely be returning.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Wat een fijn verblijf!. De eigenaar heeft veel oog voor detail en dat maakt het verblijf tot een groot genot. Traditioneel huis van natuursteen en hout. Modern met smart tv en WiFi, rustiek met traditionele voorwerpen en servies. Hartelijke host die veel tips gaf over bezienswaardigheden, wandelingen en restaurants in de buurt.

Niets, misschien alleen dat er steeds gruis van de muren afkwam. Maar dat hoort eigenlijk wel bij zo'n huis.
