Clean, very spacious basement flat

Dark basement flat, no balcony as described in the details on booking.com. Hard beds in twin room.

The property was very spacious, clean, tidy and well equipped. In an ideal location although as the name suggests it is at the top of a hill.

The shower head and hose wouldn’t stay in the holder properly. It wasn’t pleasant trying to shower so 4 of us were using the en suite shower which wasn’t ideal.

It was very spacious, well equipped and within walking distance of the centre of Tobermory.

The showers were hard to regulate and the mirror in the main bathroom kept falling off the wall,

The apartment is depressingly gloomy, in part because there is virtually no attention to decor and the walls are painted very dark. The heating system was tricky to calibrate and so the apartment was either too hot or too cold during our stay. The main objection I have is that for the price there was so little attention to supporting a comfortable stay. The hosts provided a nescafe coffee maker with a few pods, expecting the guest to purchase enough for the stay. The problem with that was that neither of the two groceries in town carried nescafe pods, so we had to buy instant coffee because there was no filter or press coffee maker. For the high price charged the hosts should at least provide a coffee maker that uses coffee available in town (or supply sufficient coffee for the stay). They also asked the guest to strip the beds, which again is a lot to ask considering the price of the rooms
