Very well equipped, spacious apartment, opposite the Gramenos beach, some 5 km west of Paleochora centre. The Mera building comprises c10 units and is about 50m beyond the local taverna. Unit 5 is a first floor double apartment, corner position overlooking the sea and front garden. Room has high quality bed linen and towels, a/c, two balconies, large wardrobe (but little other cupboard/ shelf space), basic meal preparation equipment etc. Communication before arrival is with the agent, not the on-site owners. Reception is open 9 to 11 and breakfast is served 8 to 10. The breakfast choice, quantity and quality is exceptional. Eggs (scrambled, fried, poached), cereals, yogurt, fruit, cakes, bread and butter and more....The sandy beach is an easy 5 minute walk across the coast road. Umbrella and loungers there cost E10 / day. Water quality in the bay is excellent and the whole bay is very safe for children as it remains shallow for considerable distance. We had to leave the beach because of extreme wind on one day of the four we were there. The accommodation's balcony offered protection.
