A perfect hideaway in beautiful North Berwick

The location of the property was fantastic! Close to the beach and equally as close to the shops. I loved the fact it felt quite hidden with a gorgeous courtyard entrance. It was also much bigger than it looked in the online pictures. It was very comfortable, clean and cosy. I loved it and will be back.

Good pubs and restaurants nearby for eating out. Good location for coastal walks and other walks.

Parking could be a problem especially during the day otherwise mostly ok.

For our needs it was an excellent location by all the shops and restaurants.

The alleyway to the property is poorly lit at nighttime and we needed to use our phones to see properly.

Beaside is a perfect little cottage for a stay at the beach and little town of North Berwick.

The stay was wonderful. The location is perfect and the host very communicative. The beach was about a minute walk, if that! Our two small dogs had a great green space by the beach and loved to walk on the beach as well. It was absolutely perfect. The host had coffee, sugar, & a kettle so we were able to enjoy a nice coffee at the cottage before making our day. He also stocked the kitchen with appliances & dish ware. There were extra towels in bathroom (as I had requested). :) I also loved that the Beachside had plenty of outlets and USB plugs.

When we arrived, there was scaffolding at the entry way (but it came down the morning we left). I would like a few extra amenities such as more towels in the kitchen and perhaps another sensor light in the entryway as it gets dark earlier. Otherwise, nothing I did not like.

Lovely little find. Great location. To the right is the high street full of shops of intrigue, restaurants, coffee shops and a handy co-op, to the left is the stunning sea front. The bus stop is opposite and the station leaa than a 10 minute walk. The apartment felt secluded as off a pretty little gated courtyard. Compact, yet felt spacious. Beautifully decorated with some quirky features, clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and a good, large power shower. A good selection of games for those rainy days. WiFi and a TV with accessible stations. Communication from the hosts was also very good.

This property needs some tlc and wouldn't suit 4 people.

Being close to the beach.

Woodlice inside property and beside the bed. Sofa bed to small. Mildew on bathroom wall. Courtyard unkempt and overgrown. Garden table and chairs uncomfortabl and old.. Entrance gate needs replacing. Poor parking facilities. Misleading advert suggesting property is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. We don't go on holiday to put out the wheelie bins then be charged £90 for cleaning.

Excellent property - great for travellers by bus, train or boat.

Very comfortable and well equipped

The description states ‘Free Parking on street’. The email I received said ‘We advise that you check the seasonal parking restrictions carefully’. In fact the parking in Church Road is limited to 90 minutes and there was no explanation of where to park if you are travelling by car which would have been helpful. Instead I collected a £100 parking fine.

A lovely stay which could have been brilliant with a bit of an upgrade to some aspects.

The location is excellent; a short walk from the railway station, buses stop across the road from the property (including the express bus into Edinburgh), the seafront is 50 metres away and all of North Berwick's shops, restaurants and other facilities are within easy walking distance. North Berwick is a wonderful little town with a beautiful aspect, public transport is efficient and easy, and the people are very friendly.

The bedroom is quite narrow, making it a sideways shuffle to get around the bed; okay in the daytime but a bit tricky at night. The bed linen and the pillows could do with upgrading - it was all clean but not of a great quality and we expect better for this price. For two nights the television didn't work because there was no internet connection.

Perfectly placed cosy little flat

Lovely little flat in a perfect location to explore North Berwick on foot or by bike. Right next to the beach and close to lots of lovely pubs, cafes and shops. Clean and very comfortable with a private little courtyard for breakfast in the sun (if it's out!) Really enjoyed staying here. Good communication and super helpful too.

The internet has clearly changed so documentation and visible networks didn't match up, so couldn't use the WiFi or TV. Not a problem for a short stay but check if you're there longer and you'll need it.

It was lovely once we dealt with the issues.

The location was fabulous! Across the street from bus stop, near the beach and walking distance to harbor and shops. We loved being able to walk to dinner and enjoy the beach anytime of the day or night! Brilliant

I had a very difficult experience getting the information on how to access property. The email came when I was already in Scotland and I didn't have email access, I had to have the hotel connect with Booking .com to find out the information on how to access the property. The INTERNET service was absolutely an issue. It was down or not working most of our stay.

Lovely Quirky Comfortable Accommodation

This lovely ‘quirky’ property had a great central location in the town with it’s gated off close, shared courtyard and so close to the beach, shops and local amenities. The accommodation was clean, basic and provided all we needed for a wonderful stay. Although check out time is 10am, as there was no occupants arriving on the day of departure the owner very kindly offered us a later departure time. Thank you!

Loved watching the seabirds on the shore as dusk fell. Lovely, relaxing shirt break.

Superb location, very handy for the beach as the name would suggest, but also for shops and restaurants. The apartment was just the right size for us. It was homely, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had a small but well-equipped kitchen. The bed was one of the comfiest we've ever slept in.

Parking is an issue in North Berwick. We did manage to find somewhere though. We arrived on a warm Sunday afternoon so there were lot of day trippers and the few parking spaces we did find had time restrictions. We were able to find a convenient space later that day though once the town was less busy.
