Books are provided on the historic town of 18th century Beaufort for your reading pleasure. Take a short stroll to Taylors Creek on Front Street to see the White Ibis birds that populate the area. There you will also find ferry rides to Cape Lookout, sunset cruises, dolphin watches and wild horses on Carrot Island, many fine restaurants and shops, old historic homes, and a must see Maritime Museum. Saturdays, from April through November, stroll through the Beaufort Market. You can also take a short drive over the bridge into Morehead City and enjoy the beach from Atlantic Beach or down the island to Emerald Isle. The Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores is also a must see during rainy days. The hardest part of your vacation is deciding whether to relax on the beach or going to see all the sights. This home is in the heart of it all!
