Great location to get to all the places we wanted to visit. (Shackleford, Cape Lookout, Fort Macon, etc) We really enjoyed having the garage to be able to stage all of our gear and load up everyday as well as the laundry being close to the door to dump our wet items for the day. Could use a few more kitchen basics but still a 5 star stay.

The property is great. Beautiful amenities. Everything is modern with a feel of home. Plenty of utensils for a family, just bring your own spices. The only trouble that we had with the home was that the smoke detector decided to have "low battery." I texted the number that was given and initially went "back and forth" with the representative. In a nutshell they basically instructed me to look for the back up batteries in the kitchen. There were none. So that we would not have listen to "low battery" all night, I went and bought the batteries and installed them myself. This was at 8pm. I had figured they would have came out while we were out fishing and changed the batteries. Instead I got mostly inquisitions on the height of the detector and if I located the spare batteries. Other than that..... the house was impressive. Also, the lock on the grill accessories is a little difficult. It may have been user error, but it could be a little more simple.

The place is very beautiful and very clean. Easy and fast way to every buy drive. Only thing was if you stay in the Master bedroom the main road is right outside your window and at about 5:30/6 it's loud but cars,trash trucks and lawyers. So stay on the other side if you want to sleep in.
