Our cabin is the perfect jumping off point to hike, bike, jeep, tube, kayak... you name it! Leave the city behind and enjoy the wild west.

Complete with a full kitchen and all modern appliances, you'll have everything you need to whip up delicious meals after your long days adventuring through the canyons.
A four seat dining table gives plenty of space to eat or gather for game nights.
Cozy up on the couch and have a movie night with your loved ones.
The bedroom extends off of the main structure and includes a full ensuite bathroom. Generously sized windows allow in plenty of natural light. Bedroom features a queen bed and plenty of closet space.

The Bear Necessities Cabin had everything I wanted. Centrally located to mountain biking and hiking. Only 5 miles from Cortez for picking up food, etc. Relatively quiet, peaceful, and scenic. Amenities like a decently equipped kitchen, and a clothes washer and dryer for my extended stay made for a comfortable stay. I'm posting some snapshots from video I captured from flying my drone over the property. This should give you a good idea of the beauty of the area from the property at different times of day.The only real issue I had during my stay was that the Internet was out for the last three days due to problems with the ISP. This ISP appears to be a small municipal run service, as I can't imagine one of the major ISPs allowing service to be out this long short of a natural disaster. My cell phone service with Xfinity Mobile (Verizon's cellular network) was only 1 or 2 bars of 4G and 5G service, so limited data bandwidth not suitable for data heavy applications like streaming or downloading podcasts, etc. The TV at the property is streaming only, so if there is no Internet, there's no TV unless you have brought you own content.

WOW ... WOW ... WOW ... BEYOND CUTE - the attention 2 detail and try uniqueness. The location ... WAY SIMPLE 2 get 2 and we had a GLORIOUS time.

The cabin was so cozy and cute. Super close to the Mesa Verde National Park. We had the best time here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
