About this house rental
House on 35 Acres with views of the La Plata Mountains to Mesa Verde National Park and The Four Corners. Hiking trails on site. Large deck for sunrise coffee and sunset dinners.
This is a 400 square foot, park model home, 2 miles from the town of Dolores. New renovated interior. Full size appliances. Kitchen table and lift top coffee table or patio furniture on the deck for meals.
Kitchen item include a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven all dishes and silverware.
The sun comes in the south facing widows in the morning which is a good time to look out for deer and elk.
Take a walk around the perimeter of the acreage in the evening during sunset to find pottery shards and see wildlife. Sleep well with cool nights at 7000 feet.
I supply paper towels, TP, hand soap. Sheets and towels provided.
New large window mounted air conditioner. Evenings cool off after sunset.
Has a bath tub but the water heater is only 20 gallons.
It's a half mile gravel road access. Owner occasionally works and overnights in the adjacent building with a separate access road.
There's a friendly outdoor cat.

The property is located about 2.5 miles from the little town of Dolores CO (which has moved upscale since my last visit with a really good cafe and brewpub).
The property is just as pictured, but what can't be seen is the quiet. It's really quiet here, private and very peaceful, and it's a great base for exploring the area.
Dean was a great host, responded to my one question about wifi, and I enjoyed my stay.

Very nice secluded property. Dean was very responsive and easy to work with. Good center spot for seeing the 4 corners and other sites

Was exactly as advertised. And the home contained lots of thoughtful touches. For example all the light switches were labeled, all the paper products were provided, and the kitchen was well stocked.
