This loft is very good value for money in the 1st arrondissement. It is very clean and comes with fresh sheets, towels and kitchen items. Toilet is clean. Plenty of hot water. The washing machine is a very handy addition. Communication with the host was great! It's a great place to sleep and get ready for a big day of sight seeing. I would stay here again.

These are not necessarily bad things just very "Paris" but I think people should be aware: 1. The toilet is outside the loft, 3m down the hallway. It is private but in the hall where other residents may walk past 2. The bed is up a small ladder with exposed nails. It feels sturdy enough but we were careful. This would be difficult for people with mobility issues. 3. The bed is a low quality mattress. Not for people who may need more orthopaedic-style mattresses. 4. We were there when the outside temperatures were 16-28C at night and it was hot(!) in the bed area. Coming from a warm humid climate, we are used to the heat but this was almost uncomfortable for us. There is a roof window which can be opened which was very necessary during our stay, along with the fan provided. I can see this being unbearable for those who are not used to warm climates. 5. The loft is on the fifth level with only stairs for access. Prepare/train accordingly. 6. The bathroom and bed area is quite small and the height is low - taller/larger people may struggle.
