Stunning Rustic Farmhouse Alton Towers Peaks

A huge 'thank you' to Howard and team, we were very pleasantly surprised by the property, fittings/furnishings and surroundings. It is obvious that a huge amount of thought and consideration that has gone into making the house so lovely. It was ideal for our family - large rooms, huge beds, so many nooks and crannies :) The location was perfect, beautiful scenery, cows roaming the fields beyond the property, and within easy reach of so many gorgeous villages and towns. There was everything we needed (and more!) to make our stay easy and comfortable and enough space for us to spread out when we needed to. The welcome pack we received was very generous, we did not expect that - thank you!!!! The fans in the bedrooms and the air con units were very much appreciated during this hot weather! On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Redmorlea Farmhouse, it's a gem and we would love to go back! Have to recommend Jim's Plaice, the local chipshop just a tiny drive down the road - outstanding tasty fast food when you don't feel like cooking, and also the Country Kitchen a mile or so up the road too - great breakfast and a quaint gift shop.

Just a personal opinion - a couple of us found the mattresses on our beds a little too soft, but this was solved by moving to the middle of the (huge) beds where it wasn't slept on as much and found that more comfy!! Also (and I understand that it is a very old property) the stairs were quite difficult to navigate as they are fairly steep. :(
