Oasis de Jandía is an absolute gem. It is so clean & the facilities are wonderful. It looks very fresh and new. There is no oven, though there is a microwave (possible microwave grill i believe?) and a hob so the lack of oven was no issue for us as plenty of other ways to cook. Plenty of pots and pans, and they even included washing machine detergent and softener, and a lovely bottle of wine on arrival. Owner/manager was an absolute lifesaver, easy to communicate with and came out super quick to help us when we got locked out of the apartment (the door locks as soon it’s closed so make sure you have the key ;) ), can’t fault how helpful and friendly they were! They also sent us a message recommending local places which was very helpful! It’s about a 20 minute walk to the main town where’s there plenty of options to eat, but by no means is isolated. There is tonnes of shops and places to eat and drink around the building. I also highly recommend the beach bar next to the lighthouse directly opposite.
We ended up getting engaged here, and went out for a meal to celebrate at Lo Nuestro, which is just outside the apartment complex, which we would highly recommend if you are staying at Oasis de Jandia. Overall was a wonderful place to stay!
There was some building work going on, though this wasn’t much of an issue for us as it only seemed to be for a few hours a day, and i’m sure is only for this point in time so not an issue for the future. Directly outside the balcony is a vacant lot which isn’t the prettiest but again, not a huge issue as you still get a nice view of the beach. Overall there’s no outstanding bad points to consider. Like some reviews have pointed out, it’s on street parking, so you may have to drive around for a bit but there are plenty of spaces so we never had any trouble.
