Full of mosquitoes and not proper restrooms, and completely worst experience ever… i solo traveled around 80% of India .. this hostel doesn’t know the purpose of hostels

Good, neat and much better than expected accommodation. Near Lulu also. Only problem was smoking wasn't allowed and something that bothered me a bit as a smoker. Still I will highly recommend the option

I stayed at Igloo Stays Edapally while attending training at IIEMS for my ITLS certification. This was my first solo trip to Kerala, and even though I don’t know Malayalam, the stay was very comfortable.
Special thanks to Hari and Jishnu — they were extremely kind, supportive, and managed everything nicely, which made me feel safe and at ease throughout my stay.
The calm environment helped me study, and I prepared for and cleared my exam during my stay.
When I first read the reviews, I was hesitant to book the room. However, after reaching the place and seeing the room myself, my opinion completely changed. The room was very quiet, clean, and well maintained, completely different from what I expected.
The best part was the affordability — ₹900 for two nights, making it the most economical option in this area.
I highly recommend Igloo Stays Edapally to solo travelers and anyone visiting Edapally for training or work.

This hostel is a study in contrasts, offering excellent value for budget-conscious travelers alongside some significant logistical and hygiene drawbacks.
The Positives
For the price point, the property gets several crucial fundamentals right. The pricing is highly competitive, and I was pleased to find the bed linens impeccably clean. Security is a strong point, featuring both a secured entry system and lockable storage for peace of mind. Added conveniences like readily available drinking water and a generous 11:00 AM checkout time make the stay significantly easier for backpackers.
Areas for Improvement
Travelers with heavy luggage should note that the dorm is located on the third floor. While the air conditioning was technically functioning, the room lacked a supplementary fan. With all the beds occupied, the air circulation was poor, making the room uncomfortably stuffy during the night.
The most pressing issue, however, is the bathroom-to-guest ratio. There is only one toilet shared among the 10-bed AC dorm and an additional 6 to 10 non-AC beds. This roughly 1:18 ratio creates a massive bottleneck during the morning rush. Compounding this logistical issue was the subpar cleanliness; the toilet seats had visible stains, falling well below expected hygiene standards.
The Verdict
This is a highly affordable, secure option for travelers who strictly need a clean bed and a safe place to stash their bags. However, you must have the patience to navigate severe morning bathroom queues and a high tolerance for less-than-ideal room ventilation
