Fishing lodge

The lodge was stunning, the hot tub was enjoyable and being able to fish from there was good

No towels and maybe there should have also been dressing gowns,we had to drive 11 miles to tescos to buy towels

A lovely 4 night break away, would highly recommend.

The property was very clean and tidy. Just the right amount of Christmas decorations and a lovely Christmas tree lit up for when we arrived. There was also a bottle of Prosecco and a box of ferrero rocher waiting for us on arrival. 3 lovely spacious bedrooms, the beds were a dream to lie on and the best pillows I’ve had sleeping anywhere. Just next to the park is RAF Coningsby where you can watch the Tornadoes take off and land, was noisy to start with but you soon get used to it.

The fish didn’t like to be caught but also being middle of December and wet, I’m guessing they were hiding out somewhere.

The property was in a spot on condition and was very clean, with plenty of space and storage, the owner was very helpful, as we skipped past the bit where it said no towels supplied, but the owner arranged for us to get towels straight away, so no complaints at all.

Amazing host, extra personal touch chocolates and processco were so thoughtful. The lodge is beautiful, so clean, well equipped, everything catered for. Home from home. Comfortable beds, lots of attention to detail. The view on lake is stunning, fishing peg my husband loved. As a family we loved the hot tub and sitting under gazebo. Honestly a gem of a find. We will be back. A huge thank you to the host

Ideallic location for a relaxing family stay.

Excellent location and very comfortable. Kitchen equipment had everything you would need. Spotted a kingfisher while sitting on the decking.

Lots of spiders and spider webs in and around building. Shower head didn’t adjust easily and steam in bathroom set of smoke alarm.

Hot tub Fishing Comfy Clean Sorting any problems out quickly with no fuss. Believe our previous inhabitants left a slow draining toilet this was rectified before we really noticed an issue.

No bbq Ideally, another toilet or bathroom would of made it 10/10

Exceptional is all I can say!

Welcome gift went down a treat! 🥂 This log cabin was fantastic and right on the lake. The hubby and the older boys enjoyed the fishing and had their fair catch! Jacuzzi was a bonus too, even though we didn't use it, staff came by each day to test the PH levels etc. so you can be sure its all in good clean working order. Facilities were like home from home, everything you need for an enjoyable relaxing stay. Washing machine, dishwasher, hoover, iron and ironing board, highchairs, travel cot including bedding, I could go on and on but there is too much to list. Oh and if you're worried about the kids who you have to peel from the gaming..... PlayStation and games provided. Communication with the hosts were exceptional! In talks all weekend and answered every question I had. And for a very small fee, granted us a late check out. This place is so, that we are in talks of coming back in Oct for my husbands birthday. Now for the park, don't for one second think the kids will be bored.... aqua park, pools, high ropes, axe throwing, jet skis are just a smidge of the activities provided, including spa facilities for the mums that need that 30 minute to themselves. Guest passes are required at around £30 ish per person. (Some activities cost extra to the passes) We stayed while Rock the Lakes were on and my 20 years old loved it, so there really is something for every age here. Thank you Elite Retreats for an amazing weekend, your log cabin is sublime and we will be back!

The only thing I noticed was, I believe there was dog(s) in before us as the rug in the lounge had a lot of dog hair on it. Now, I know the hosts have cleaners in so this is not a reflection on the hosts nor a complaint. I am a dog lover, have 2 of my own, a quick hover and job done. However, if you have allergies, these are pet friendly cabins so he sure to ask.

We liked everything about the lodge, location, cleanliness, how spacious it was, we absolutely loved the hot tub, there was everything we needed and more, the owners have thought of everything..The bottle of Prosecco and chocolates were lovely on arrival.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the lodge.

Lovely lodge with everything you need for a relaxing break

The lodge is beautiful and one of the best equipped lodges we have stayed in. They have literally thought of everything. The beds are really comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. The hot tub and outside area are great, literally right on the lake. The weather was lovely when we stayed so this definitely helped. A lovely box of chocolates and Prosecco welcomed us which just added to the experience. I was a little wary about booking as it was new to booking.com but I’m so glad we took the chance. We would def stay here again.
