Beautiful and relaxing stay

Cosy and clean with everything you could need. Lovely touch with wine, milk and nugget

There was nothing I didn't like my only negative feedback is that both me and my husband are both tall and have some meat on us, the bed was too small but we managed.

Cosy, relaxing weekend retreat

The property was absolutely spectacular! Was so cosy and has all the essentials! Its very peaceful except for the odd train but they are the quietest trains i ever heard! It was perfect! We came away for our first girls weekend since i had my daughter and its set the bar incredibly high! The hot tub was fabulous! We couldn’t fault it!

Great getaway in the perfect location.

Lovely getaway in a great location, fantastic accommodation that had everything we needed for our stay, nice touches with the milk and Filey rock, nougat and nutty crunch. Loved the hot tub, it was just what we needed after exploring the local area, relaxing all the aching muscles. Host was there to greet us, but after that we were left alone, if you're looking for a nice relaxing time away from all the hustle and bustle, Railway Retreat is the perfect place.

Nice quiet getaway ,everything was perfect

Lovely retreat get away nice and quiet,owners are lovely ,loved the little gifts that was left just little things , there went above and beyond, hottub was lovely did poor down with rain which isn’t owner fault so I made use of hottub and used a umbrella which,funny memories,everything , lovely and clean deffo would recommend and go again

Hidden little gem

Although it was small it was well laid out everything you could need was there. There were clear instructions on how to use everything in the place. The location was great to explore from and quiet/peaceful.

The location was great , very peaceful. The owner and his son were very welcoming and greeted us on arrival . It was spotless and stocked up with everything you could need . I would 100% stay again .

Gorgeous stay will be back!

Lovely quiet location, exactly what we wanted. Hot tub was amazing, bed was comfy and kitchen was well stocked with modern appliances. Super clean on arrival, when meeting owner she was lovely showed us around and how to use the hot tub. Communication was also spot on, when needing to refill hot tub we got a response instantly. Absolutely will be back in the future!

The only things I could pick at really are the fact it isn’t made clear online that it is an extension off the owners property, it is still very private as it is fully high fenced off for a private garden ect, we couldn’t hear a thing from the house so we had no issues with privacy, and never once felt watched over. The front gate is also not very good for small dogs as my Daschund could get under it, but we just put the bins infront and it was okay, I’d maybe put an extra panel along the bottom for smaller dogs so they can’t get out. But like I said that is just picking at things! Our stay was beautiful

A great apartment with all you need for a great holiday . Hot tub was a great addition to unwind at the end of the day!

Slight issue with the internet going off , but a phone call to the owners is all it takes to solve this issue.

me and my partner will be back, we’re so sad we only booked it for 2 nights!

we loved how calm and inviting it felt, it was so quiet even while the kids were playing outside, they weren’t loud and if i’m being honest it was absolutely lovely hearing the kids laugh and have fun!

there’s nothing i could say here, everything was perfect.

Gorgeous hideaway

A gorgeous, well equipped apartment in a lovely location. Out of the way of the hustle and bustle of a town but close enough to travel to lots of different attractions near by. The apartment was beautiful and clean with everything you would need for a short stay. It was cosy and quiet and the hosts left us little treats which was lovely. The hot tub was gorgeous. The bed is very small. It didn't bother us so much the first night but on the second night it felt really small. We do like to sprawl out! Even though it is a small bed, it is very comfortable. The garden is so lovely and well thought out. It would be nice if it was made fully secure for those travelling with dogs. Our little one would be able to get out through the gates so had to be kept on a lead. All in all, a lovely stay and we would definitely return.

Great location. Super little hide-away.

All new, nice quality and modern decor. Good location. Didn’t use the hot tub or BBQ but good additions. Nice private outside seating area. Owner’s daughter couldn’t have been more helpful.

It would be a very small bed for two! I was on my own. The trains were faster and louder than you’d think - it is the Railway Retreat tho!.

Railway retreat for a puffin watch

Well presented and fitted out. Nice hot tub and private garden area. Close to the Bempton cliffs. Host was very welcoming and showed us how to operate the hot tub. Kitchen was well equipped. Extra towels for hot tub. Overall very happy to recommend for a couple or those with a young child or dog. The shortcomings below are intended to be helpful. Milk and tea / coffee with an excellent Tassimo coffee maker. ice cubes also provided (an ice bucket would have been useful).

From the pictures it is clear the double bed was a small double,. The description suggested a microwave. Better quality cutlery to fit the rest of the spec and some plastic glasses for the garden/hot tub would have been a good addition. There is no Ariel for the TV channels so you will need your own streaming account.. Please see these as positive comments to help you enjoy your stay at the wonderfully designed Railway Retreat.

Beautiful retreat, clean, stylish excellent value and great hot tub and hosts.

The Railway retreat was fabulous, very clean, done out so well, had everything you needed. The hot tub was Fab and we had a great time. Really close to Filey and Bridlington, great beaches and places to visit. Denise and Dave were helpful and welcoming even with little touches to welcome us. Would stay again for sure had a wonderful weekend.
